Ailie Kerrane
Coming from a social work background, I now divide my time between working as a Senior Manager within child placement services and independently as a consultant, trainer and coach.
Over the last 15 years I have studied Gestalt Psychotherapy and Group Analysis as applied to Organisational Development and I have trained as a coach.
I have found the insights gained from this perspective to be an essential part of my development as a manager.
I am particularly committed to helping support and sustain practitioners and managers within the Health and Social Care sector to achieve their full potential – or even just survive! I am aware first hand that working in today's public sector organisations presents the challenge of constant change and turmoil in which it's hard to hang on to a sense of sanity and balance in what often feels like a mad world. However, I do firmly believe it is possible to both survive, and grow and develop, and that coaching and mentoring can be an essential part of that process.
My approach to mentoring/coaching is one in which I offer deep listening, reflection, feedback, support, challenge, guidance, and most importantly, a relationship in which the person is valued and believed in.
I offer individual, joint and team/group coaching.
Quote from a manager whom I have mentored:
“Ailie is very skilled in management and in directly working with staff which inspired me with confidence. I feel her skills are rooted in first hand experience, supported by research and theory…..there have been tangible outcomes.”
